My thought behind Udaan
Kids are asked to fill red color within the outline of an apple drawn on a white paper.
They’re asked to make sure that the color remains within the boundary. That’s how at the fundamental level itself boundaries are set.
An apple is always red and has a fixed shape. As we walk the well-constructed road to have a secure life, the fire to fly diminishes. The uniqueness within us gets buried under the intertwined layers of the sense of safety, responsibility, and the comparisons we make between ourselves and others.
But the uniqueness persists. This persisting uniqueness is contagious enough to infect those who treasure freedom. And they pick up different abilities from different people and mold them to make wings for themselves.
