About
Srishti Rajoria is a contemporary wire sculptor based in New Delhi.
Growing up, she developed skills in stitching and sketching, but her primary focus was on academics. She graduated with an MBA in Pharma from NIPER Mohali in 2015, all while nurturing her passion for art through sketching and coloring with crayons.
After entering the corporate world post-graduation, Srishti found it unfulfilling and decided to embark on a new journey in early 2017.
Using copper wire and her father’s tools, she began creating wire jewelry and name tags as gifts for family and friends. Encouraged by their appreciation, she showcased her wire art at Diwali Melas.
Srishti utilized platforms like Pinterest, YouTube, and Udemy to learn the basics of wire wrapping, allowing her imagination to elevate her craft.
In early 2019, she launched her online business on Instagram under the brand name Wirecarved. The brand quickly gained a following and repeat customers, prompting Srishti to expand into wire sculptures.
Her work is deeply influenced by her avid reading and learning of Indian mythology, biblical stories, and spirituality.
Srishti’s sculptures narrate stories and reflect the various emotions humans experience in life. She started with copper wire and later explored wire mesh, enjoying the challenge of transforming a 2D wire roll into a 3D sculpture.
In 2024, she began exhibiting her sculptures at prestigious venues such as Lokayata Art Gallery, The Park, and Visual Arts Gallery at India Habitat Center in New Delhi. Her works invite viewers to pause and connect with themselves.
She also showcased a story featuring different animals and birds found in Abbott Marshlands in New Jersey, and her works are now part of private collections.
Srishti’s active volunteership with ORDI (Organization for Rare Diseases India) inspired her to repurpose old medals from ORDI marathons into sculptures.
She plans to continue learning about herself and communicating with the world through her art.
